Working as Corporate Real Estate Controller at a global market leader in optical retail? At GrandVision Benelux you combine strategic financial partnership with visible business impact in a fast moving international environment. 

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours per week), with hybrid working: approximately two days per week at the head office in Soesterberg, the remainder from home. The salary ranges from €4,448 to €6,354 gross per month based on 38 hours, depending on experience. The other terms of employment are well arranged:

  • Annual bonus scheme up to 15%;
  • 25 holiday days plus 2 extra Care days;

You will be joining a close-knit controlling team of around ten people. It is a very stable team that has worked together for years, with a straightforward and informal working culture. What are you going to do as a Corporate Real Estate Controller?

As Corporate Real Estate Controller, you are the financial business partner for all new store openings, relocations and renovations within GrandVision Benelux. You build business cases using the EssilorLuxottica template, present them in weekly expansion meetings with the General Manager and Head of Real Estate, and work closely with the Corporate Real Estate team in Milan for approval and alignment. That collaboration demands precision: the corporate team scrutinises every detail and expects complete, well-substantiated submissions. CapEx management and its associated reporting form a structural part of your role, from budgeting through to activation and month-end closing. During budget season, September through October, you document all investment plans for the coming year and manage the approval process end to end.

Further responsibilities include:

  • Weekly reporting to the business controllers of Pearle Netherlands, GrandOptical and Pearle Belgium on the status of ongoing renovations;
  • Post-audit analyses, assessing store performance after renovation against the original business case;
  • Franchise-related analyses, including performance reviews of store transfers and buy-back assessments when a franchisee wants to sell;
  • Ad-hoc analyses for the real estate team, for example in relation to rent increases or other real estate matters to be submitted to corporate.

The head office is based in Soesterberg, where the Finance & Control department works closely with the international corporate organisation. As Corporate Real Estate Controller, you are part of the central controlling team and collaborate daily with Real Estate, Retail and the construction department. GrandVision holds a Top Employer 2026 certification.

Requirements

  • Completed bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business economics or a related field;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a controlling or financial analysis role;
  • Demonstrable experience with business cases, investment analysis or capex processes;
  • Available preferably from 1 July 2025;
  • Strong command of English; Dutch is an advantage but not a requirement;
  • As Corporate Real Estate Controller you're hands-on, very precise and an excellent communicator.
